The M Family!

So I have decided, I am no good at keeping up with this whole blog deal...but I am going to keep on trying! I have been a busy girl, and I am going to use that as my excuse :)
So time to play catch up!
Meet the M family!! They are actually very close family friends of ours, and I was honored when they asked me to do some new family photos of them! Little E {the big sis} is my 4 year olds girlfriend :) Too cute! My boys actually came a long with me to this session. Kaleb followed closely behind me with our old point and shoot camera taking photos himself. And he did very well if I do say so myself!!

I have been capturing this adorable family since baby Paige was still in mommys belly! It is so rewarding to me to get to watch her grown and capture such monumental milestones for them! I can not believe she is already 6months old!

Gotta love the outtakes!

So, I already have been horrible at keeping up with my blog!! Boo me!!! But the reason for that is because I have been so busy! So that is great news :) Voting is up and going for my cutest kids contest, and I am very pleased at how well it is going!! Anywho, I wanted to share this awesome outtake from last nights session! I actually didn't even realize I had captured the moment till uploaded the session to my computer!! Here it is...and just another reason I love my job, NEVER a dull moment!!!

Such a nice compliment!

Meet {T} and her family!! They came to me as a referral from my latest newborn session! I LOVE getting referrals, that is really one of the greatest compliments a client can give me! Knowing they loved their session so much that they are confident in sending family and friends my way!...anyways, I am losing focus....
When {T} called me to set up her family session she informed me that she and her family had recently gone to Target Studios for pictures and said "I wish I would have just come to you in the first place." And that right there is another GREAT compliment. I am sorry to those who go to the run of the mill chain studios and walk away unhappy. And believe me, I understand why people go there. The prices are so low it's hard not to pass it up. Before becoming a "Professional" myself we went to Target Studios a few times. I just want people to understand that while my prices are higher than those cheap chain studios, with me (or most any other professional photographer) you get an experience. You get a bond, and you get MY full attention. I want all my clients to walk away happy. I want them all to feel comfortable with me, and I don't want them to feel rushed. If you are booked with me, you are my ONLY session that day. I do that so that I don't have to rush you out the door to get more clients in. I do that because I care. I take my time in editing photos and adding my personal touch that make them unique and beautiful....Ok, I am rambling again....

My most challenging clients...

are my own kids!! And I think most photographers will agree with this! I love photographing my kids, but my goodness do they test my limits.
Don't let those baby blues fool you! Once I switch my camera on, the little horns come out! There is usually a fight, some tears, lots of silly faces and blank stares but after some bribery I can usually get one or two keepers!
Here is what we got today, out-takes and all! I got this pretty dark gray background a couple weeks ago and have been dying to use it. So this afternoon I decided to rock the boys out and give it a go.

Cutest Kid Contest!

We all have, or know, or know someone that knows THE CUTEST KID! Now is the chance to win some awesome prizes off that adorable child! And it is super easy! All you need to do is email me @ pixiedustphotography@hotmail.com ONE image per kid (no limit on how many children) under the age of 12! Include the child’s NAME, AGE and HOBBIES! Entries must be to me by March 1st at Midnight!

Once entries are received I will divide them in to age groups and post them on my fan page to let voting begin. YOU MUST BE A FACEBOOKFAN TO VOTE! Winners from each age group will receive a FREE session with me and a 8x10 of your choice!

Free sessions will take place in the month of April and I will then submit the best image from each session into my print labs Baby and Child Contest! Winners from this contest have a chance at winning $500-$5000 in cash and prizes, all for YOU!

I am now a blogger!

After some thought and inspiration from some fellow photographers, I decided to start a blog! So here I am brand new to the blogging world! I thought it would be a great place to showcase previews from photo sessions and keep clients in the loop on up coming contests, deals and also my personal life. My goal is to stay active and post at least twice a week! I think I can make that happen!
